Care home looks to bring safety to its residence with new watch scheme

A new Camberley development set in Kings Ride has joined Surrey Heath Neighbourhood Watch.

Clinical Operations Managers, Jane Whittaker and Lisa Strevens have been on the site of Kings Lodge, a new luxury care home from Aura Care Living, and were surprised to find out that there was not a scheme in this area of the town.

The purpose of Neighbourhood Watch is to help cut crime and the opportunity for crime and anti-social behaviour through encouraging closer communities in order to improve the quality of life for local residents and tenants.

“We want to provide security and safety for our residents and of course our staff,” said Jane. “We all know what good these schemes do all over the country and we want to bring the peace of mind it brings to Kings Ride residents as well as those in our care.”

Kings Lodge is set in the woodlands of Kings Ride. The 64 bed care home will offer dementia and residential care for people in their later years and those in need of extra support at a certain time in their life.
