Retirement village and care home to bring new jobs to Cirencester
A development in Stratton will bring over 75 jobs to the town. Aura Care Living, the luxury retirement specialists, are in the process of constructing a village that boasts 31, one, two and two plus bedroom apartments in an idyllic setting with on-site lifestyle facilities that include a its own café - bar, a library and an IT suite.
Named Stratton Court, it is the first of a new generation of luxury retirement neighbourhoods, planned in response to major market demand by those wishing to retire in the Cotswolds. It will create an innovative, stylish and vibrant community for over 55’s who wish to plan and shape their retirement to exact needs and standards, whilst continuing to live autonomous, purposeful lives.
Stratton Court will cater for individuals and couples who desire the very best quality in interiors, facilities, and support services with the choice of independent living, to assisted living, to full time care if and when it’s required. Prices start at £345,000 for a one bed with fully equipped kitchen averaging 700 square feet, whilst two beds are 1000 square feet, with prices starting at £476,000.
Five apartments have been sold already and the recruitment process has begun for staff, with roles for carers, nurses, chefs, reception, concierge, experienced managers and gardeners available. Peter Lloyd is the Director of Aura sales and said: “There is a great opportunity to join a fantastic project. We are trying to not only change the face of care but to the way the staff are looked after in what can be a physically and mentally demanding job.
“We are working tirelessly to create an environment where residents can enjoy the freedom of retirement in beautifully designed, luxurious surroundings whilst enjoying a full and complete life experience. At Aura, our philosophy blends the highest standards in materials and design with outstanding facilities to ensure residents can choose precisely the life they wish to lead – all set in a connected community where the very best care is available if the need arises.”
The development is expected to be complete later in the year with residents moving into Stratton Court in December 2017.
